Onopa FC book Prosperity Cup Round of 32 ticket!

Onopa FC continued their impressive run in The Governor's Football Tournament tagged "Prosperity Cup" which is also The Largest Grassroot Football Tournament in Nigeria, with a 2-0 win over their opponents United Stars at the Opolo Pitch.

The rescheduled encounter lived its billing as one of the ties of the round as spectators witnessed top quality football but didn't witness any goal in the first half of the encounter despite both teams missing clear cut chances.

Onopa FC Coach Young Halftime team talk seemed to had worked magic on his teams style of play as his team wasted no time before going in front through winger Frank S. three minutes into resumption of proceedings to the delight of their supporters. 

The early second half goal forced United Stars FC Coach to make some changes but the resolute defending of Onopa FC was enough to keep their visitors at bay for most of the game.

And their duggedness paid off when their team's Captain Koko Amiekumo added the Second goal of the game with eight minutes left to play. Onopa FC held on to claim the win to the celebration of the coaches and fans alike.

Hostilities will resume on Friday 30th June, 2023 for Round of 32 encounters across different centres after a three day match rest.
