The Board and Management of Independent Grassroots Sports Development Association in collaboration with Nengi Sea Food has committed themselves to spur Bayelsa United Football Club players, Backroom staff and Medical staff to an all expense paid breakfast meeting on Saturday March 16th, 2024. 

Representative of the Group, High Chief (Amb) Ogunu Miebi Samson Kee -1 who also double as a Board Member of Bayelsa United in a bid to motivate and encourage the team by going Unbeaten in their next Six Matches (Both Home and Away).

"We want to host the whole team on that said date if they can avoid defeat in their next Six League Matches. If the team can record 6 matches unbeaten starting from February 18th, 2024 against Gombe United, to  March 13th, 2024 where in addition Bayelsa United will be playing Akwa United, Doma United , Remo Stars, Niger Tonadoes and Kwara United. They have already achieved Five games Unbeaten run this season, so why not make it six?" He asked.


Recall some Bayelsa United players, Coach and Staff such as Tekena Garando, Oginni Olatunbosun, Isreal Consul, Emmanuel Nneoye Ofem, John Bassey, Goalkeeper Coach Kankan and Media Personnel Yakubu were hosted by Nengi Sea Foods after their win against Bendel Insurance at the Samson Siasia Stadium. 

This is a follow up on the Awards of Most Improved Players of the Month already received by notable Bayelsa United Players such as Favour Martins and the departed, Alex Oyowah, Robert Mizo and Dino Osagie among others.


The Board and Management of Independent Grassroots Sports Development Association and Nengi Sea Foods are exercising their social responsibilities in trying to raise the bar in bringing out the best from the players especially in this second stanza of the season where the Prosperity Boys will be hoping to avoid the drop come end of the season.

‎Prosperity Cup Organizers to Commence Sale of Registration Forms ‎

Eguavoen, Fuludu, lead NFF team to Yenagoa for 3rd Prosperity Cup Coaching Clinic.

The Organizers of Nigeria's largest and most prestigious grassroots football showpiece, the prosperity cup in Bayelsa State are putting a week coaching clinic together to update and sharpen the technical abilities of coaches participating in this year's edition of the competition. The coaching clinic, which will be conducted by seasoned football experts begins on Monday, 3rd to 7th of March, 2025 at the NUJ Press Centre, Ekeki, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Disclosing this to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Director General of the Prosperity cup Central Organizing Committee, Mr.Ono Akpe explained that the event, which is the first of two coaching clinics that will hold in course of this year's football fiesta, will have fifty coaches in attendance.
