Computer Science Department emerged the overall champions of University of Africa Inter Departmental Games
The Department of Computer Science were crowned the overall champions of the maiden edition of the Inter Departmental Games while Educational Management was the winner of the football at the University of Africa Toru-Orua.
The closing ceremony took place after the final of the Football competition ended 5-4 on penalties in favour of The Educational Management Department after a goal was draw in the regulation time against the Political Science Science Department.
The Vice Chancellor of the Institution Prof. Barclays Ayakoroma who was ably represented by the Registrar Dr. Akpoebi Adesi, expressed his satisfaction in the quality of performances and character from the students during the course of the games.
Dr. Akpoebi used the opportunity to thank everyone that made sure the competition was a success.
The H.E.O. of Sports Mr. Ada Gwegwe thanked the Vice Chancellor Prof. Barclays Ayakoroma and the management for their support during the entire course of the games, and also praised the School's Registrar Dr. Akpoebi Adesi, and other principle officers and staff of the institution for their supports in one way or the other.
Mr Gwegwe also acknowledged the efforts of the (DOS)
Student's Union Government Comr. Dickson Tamaraebi and the entire student promised that we should expect a better second edition.
Presentations of the 2024 Edition of the Bayelsa Governor's cup football Competition Registration form was presented to the Comr Dickson by Mr Julian Udogwe.
Various awards was given to Dean of faculties and some students with outstanding performances during the games.
