BAYELSA KIDS CUP: MOST VALUABLE PLAYER (MVP) TO WATCH SUPER EAGLES GAME IN UYO

As the 7th edition of the Bayelsa Kids Cup which kicked off barely a week ago continues to gather momentum, Former Chairman of Bayelsa United and the National Vice President of Youth Sports Federation Of Nigeria, YSFON, South South Zone, Mr Kali Gwegwe has promised to give #25,000 to the team with the highest number of goals and 
#25,000 to team with the least number of goals.

According to Mr Gwegwe  the bedrock of any football nation is the development of grassroot football and the Kids Cup is one sure way to develop the sports.

This is as he also praised the organizers of the competition for their vision and consistency.

Mr Kali Gwegwe urged the players to give their best, and work more as a team, so as to get the job done.


Meanwhile, Organisers of the Bayelsa Kids Cup has secured a partnership deal with a leading music record label, Official CitiBoy Concept.

Chief Executive Officer, Mr Igere Joshua Glory, has promised to sponsor two players to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State to watch the Nigeria and South Africa game on the 7th of June.

The organisers went further to write to the Nigerian Football Federation, through the Bayelsa State Football Association to officially present the Most valuable Player and the Highest Goal Scorer of this year's edition to the Super Eagles during the World Cup Qualifying game against South Africa. 


The move, if successful, will not only delight the kids, but will also serve as a source of motivation, when they meet with their idols.

The finals of this year Bayelsa kids Cup U-13 football tournament will be played on the 27th of may 2024 to make the children day celebration.

‎Prosperity Cup Organizers to Commence Sale of Registration Forms ‎

Eguavoen, Fuludu, lead NFF team to Yenagoa for 3rd Prosperity Cup Coaching Clinic.

The Organizers of Nigeria's largest and most prestigious grassroots football showpiece, the prosperity cup in Bayelsa State are putting a week coaching clinic together to update and sharpen the technical abilities of coaches participating in this year's edition of the competition. The coaching clinic, which will be conducted by seasoned football experts begins on Monday, 3rd to 7th of March, 2025 at the NUJ Press Centre, Ekeki, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Disclosing this to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Director General of the Prosperity cup Central Organizing Committee, Mr.Ono Akpe explained that the event, which is the first of two coaching clinics that will hold in course of this year's football fiesta, will have fifty coaches in attendance.
