ALL IS SET FOR THE FINAL OF THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE CITIBOI INTER LGA SUPER LEAGUE

The Final of the maiden edition of the ongoing CitiBoi Inter Local Government Super League is scheduled to take place tomorrow Sunday 7th July, 2024 at the Azikoro Primary School pitch by 4pm between the impressive Southern Ijaw LGA against high-flying Sagbama LGA side.


League leaders Sagbama LGA currently top the standings with 19 points, knowing fully well that a draw tomorrow will be enough to clinch the trophy, while challengers Southern Ijaw LGA knows that nothing short of a win is enough for them to be crowned champions of the competition.

According to Press release by the organising committee signed by the Tournament Secretary Mr. Lampard Eyitemi and consultant of the Tournament Coach Ada Gwegwe, the final of the CitiBoi Inter Local Government League will be graced by Hon. Oforji Obuku Member Representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma Opokuma Federal Constituency, Chairman House Committee on Sports Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Tari Porri, Commissioner for Sports Development Hon. Daniel Bariladei Igali, Hon. Mrs. Chief Ayibanegiyefa Egba Member Representing Yenagoa Constituency One in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon Wisdom Fafi, Member Representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency II,
Hon Timi Agala-Omubo Brass Constituency II, and Chairman Southen Ijaw Local Government Area Hon. Target Segibo.

‎Prosperity Cup Organizers to Commence Sale of Registration Forms ‎

‎...Prize Money Increased to N30m in Celebration of 30th Anniversary of Bayelsa  ‎ ‎Organizers of Nigeria's biggest grassroots football tournament, the Bayelsa Governor's Football Tournament tagged the Prosperity Cup, say they have concluded plans for the sale of registration forms for Season eight of the competition. ‎ ‎Director General of the tournament, Mr. Ono Akpe in a statement on behalf of the Central Organizing Committee, COC, noted that this year's edition would witness some innovations.  ‎ ‎According to him, the sale of registration forms will commence from the 1st of December through the 15th of January, 2026 while the tournament will kick-off on the 13th of February, 2026 as part of the activities to celebrate the governor's sixth year in office.  ‎ ‎The statement noted that Season Eight would be a special edition to celebrate the 30 years anniversary of Bayelsa State with a special commemorative trophy, which has been specially designed and orde...

Eguavoen, Fuludu, lead NFF team to Yenagoa for 3rd Prosperity Cup Coaching Clinic.

The Organizers of Nigeria's largest and most prestigious grassroots football showpiece, the prosperity cup in Bayelsa State are putting a week coaching clinic together to update and sharpen the technical abilities of coaches participating in this year's edition of the competition. The coaching clinic, which will be conducted by seasoned football experts begins on Monday, 3rd to 7th of March, 2025 at the NUJ Press Centre, Ekeki, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Disclosing this to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Director General of the Prosperity cup Central Organizing Committee, Mr.Ono Akpe explained that the event, which is the first of two coaching clinics that will hold in course of this year's football fiesta, will have fifty coaches in attendance.
