All is set for the Maiden Edition of the Yenagoa Constituency One Unity Beach Soccer Tournament.

The draw which was attended by the representatives of the various participating Wards at the Yenagoa Constituency Office at Ekeki, in Yenagoa saw Seven (7) Wards including The Non-Indegines representing Ward 7.


The Chairman Organizing Committee Hon. Monasue J. Makbere kicked the event open by introducing the competition committee members, and the Technical Director Coach Ada Gwegwe used the opportunity to explain the rules and regulations governing the Beach Soccer Tournament. 

The draw which saw Ward 3, 5, 6 and 7 pitted in Group A, while Ward 1, 2 and 4 well placed in Group B.

The Director General of the Competition Hon. Chief Zebakame Natus thanked the participating teams for being part of the initiative. Noting that despite not being familiar with Beach Soccer, he is expecting the tournament to be a successful one. 


He also used the opportunity to thanked the Sponsor of the Tournament, Member representing Yenagoa Constituency One in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Chief Ayibanegiyefa Eggs for her love for the youths by sponsoring this competition. 

He also urged the participating teams to use the competition as a means of fostering unity among the clans in the constituency most especially with the participating Non-Indegines.

‎Prosperity Cup Organizers to Commence Sale of Registration Forms ‎

Eguavoen, Fuludu, lead NFF team to Yenagoa for 3rd Prosperity Cup Coaching Clinic.

The Organizers of Nigeria's largest and most prestigious grassroots football showpiece, the prosperity cup in Bayelsa State are putting a week coaching clinic together to update and sharpen the technical abilities of coaches participating in this year's edition of the competition. The coaching clinic, which will be conducted by seasoned football experts begins on Monday, 3rd to 7th of March, 2025 at the NUJ Press Centre, Ekeki, Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Disclosing this to newsmen in Yenagoa, the Director General of the Prosperity cup Central Organizing Committee, Mr.Ono Akpe explained that the event, which is the first of two coaching clinics that will hold in course of this year's football fiesta, will have fifty coaches in attendance.
