Beniangba Foundation donates training materials to Global City Football Academy.


Players and Coaches of Global City Football Academy on Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 received a major surprise at their training ground as Genk's Striker and Founder of the Beniangba foundation Mr. Victory Beniangba in conjunction with Grassrunners FC initiative donated some training materials for the Football Academy.

This presentation was made at the training ground of the Academy at the Community Primary School Field, Okutukutu, in Yenagoa where some sets of Balls, Cones, Bips and Cash were donated to the team.


The former Bayelsa United Striker stated that his reasons for the donations was his little way of giving back to the society and also strengthening the existing relationship between his Foundation and Global City Football Academy.

Recall that the former Grassrunners FC and U20 player Benjamin Precious was a product of Global City Football Academy, so the visit was a way of fostering good partnership amongst them.


On his part, the Coach of the Academy, Coach Nasiru Olayinka thanked The Beniangba Foundation and Grassrunners FC for the training kits and Cash donations to the academy, emphasizing that those items will be judiciously utilized. 

Coach Nasiru Olayinka is also the Assistant Coach of the Victorious Eternal Grace Ministry Football Club that recently won the Seventh edition of the Prosperity Cup at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
